MPs to Stage Sit In Until Israeli Ambassador Leaves
Muslim Brotherhood and independent MPs are to hold a meeting on Sunday to proceed with their pressure on the Arab regimes to adopt a decisive position rising to the degree of anger in the Arab street over the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. MB Parliamentary Bloc Chairman Dr. Hamdy Hassan affirmed that the deputies consider stepping up their protest, using all legal means including a sit in at the Israeli Embassy pending the expulsion of the ambassador. He added that the deputies will submit a memo to the US Embassy in Cairo undersigned by one hundred deputies to tell the US Ambassador that he is a persona non grata due to the American unconditional bias with Israel even in its aggression on the Lebanese women and children. On the recent diplomatic measures taken by the Venezuelan government toward Israel, Hassan said that the deputies consider posting a thank-you message to the Venezuelan Embassy for the position of its government which embarrassed the Arab regimes before their people.
