Mubarak well enough to leave hospital

A spokesperson from the Heidelberg University Clinic in which President Mubarak was staying confirmed that he was stable enough to leave the hospital after recuperating from his gall-bladder surgery.

Mubarak who is 81 had the surgery in early March after being diagnosed with an acute inflammation. Doctors are pleased with his recovery and it is expected that he will be released in the near future.
