Murder in Gaza: When any excuse will do
Two human bombers set out from the West Bank, a Palestinian territory controlled by Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah party, to carry out a bombing in the Israeli town of Dimona, and they succeed. According to reports from Palestinian media outlets, (Read: “Fatah Group claims Dimona Bombing,” Palestine Chronicle- http://palestinechronicle.com/story-020408140635.htm). The bombers, according to the article, were from the Fatah movement, and not Hamas. Along with killing themselves, the news reported that they killed one other person, an Israeli citizen. It is a tragedy. One of many tragedies for both Palestine and Israel.
Next day, the international news reads that Israel has stepped up its never-ending brutal attacks on Gaza, and that the border between Egypt and Gaza is sealed off again. The lights are being turned off in Gaza again. The US reportedly suggests to Egypt that it should allow at least 9000 or more Palestinians from Gaza to be relocated to the Sinai, hoping perhaps to begin the final phase of ethnic cleansing.I have never been so ashamed of my country, and government. US foreign policy has been taken over by American Judeo/Christian fascists, and because of the ignorance of the American public, Israel gets away with this type of criminal behavior, while our State Department is looking for ways to place economic sanctions on Kenyans who they feel are contributing to the violence in Kenya. Our State Department, which is being run by religious zealots and fascists, loves to place baby killing economic sanctions on poor and weak countries of Black and Brown people. It’s almost as if they are actually involved in population control, and any excuse will do when it comes to starving and killing people of the darker races.
In respect to Gaza, and the illegal Israeli occupation, it is a violation of the Geneva Conventions to transfer a people under occupation from their homelands. Even though the Egyptian media claims that it will not comply with this particular US demand, Palestinian news agencies are reporting that there are presently 8000 Gazan Palestinians still trapped in Egypt, behind a newly sealed border. Is that a forced transfer?
Just as before the opening of the Rafah crossing, the international community is mostly silent about Israel’s continued war crimes, except for a few condemnations, citing Israeli violations of international law. Where are the real condemnations? It doesn’t seem to matter to anyone that Israel routinely violates international law, murders at will, etc. especially not to the current administration, which seems to feel that their misunderstanding of the Biblical Old Testament and rejection of the New Testament trumps international law. To murder at will is a unique right that has been bestowed upon Israel by the US and Europe, and the rest of the world. It is made possible by the hatred of Arabs and Muslims that has been fomented in the West by the Judeo/Christian fascists who presently run our government, and many of the European governments. It is the result of lies and fear mongering by their talk radio hosts, and other media henchmen, as well as their lackeys that haunt the halls of Western academia, and the intellectual communities surrounding our major universities, and think tanks.
Even the Muslim Ulema are silent, perhaps afraid that if they attempt to awaken the Muslims of the world to act on behalf of the imprisoned and tortured people of Gaza as they should, that they will either end up in Guantanamo, or worse, that one of their own Arab governments will have them imprisoned and tortured mercilessly in their own countries, this in an effort to silence all Muslim and Arab dissent against the murder of Gaza, and to appease their false god, Israel. In total, since the Dimona bombing only four days ago, nearly 20 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed by Israel. Where is the outrage? Prior to that, Israel massacred another 20 in an attack that was so inhuman, it even shook Mahmoud Abbas who threatened to resign as the Israeli caretaker of the Palestinians in the West bank. Where was the outrage? One Israeli is killed, and 1.5 million people are imprisoned, put in the dark, denied food, and attacked and killed by one of the most heavily armed militaries in the region. Israel is the beneficiary of the military largesse of Europe and the US, who loves to give weapons to Israel to kill Palestinians, yet cannot bear the thought that the Palestinians should have lights, or medicine, or food, or liberty.
Is all of this in retaliation for the Dimona bombing, or for the routine launching of almost harmless rockets from Gaza, or is it in retaliation against Gaza for opening the Rafah border crossing? The truth is that the causes no longer matter. Israel has made it clear that it is determined, no matter what, to destroy Gaza, and to kill, or relocate its people, and any excuse will do. The international community, bullied into silence by the religious fanatics of the West, has made it clear that it is unwilling to stop Israel, and that any excuse that is good enough for Israel, is good enough for the world to turn its back on the law, and justice and morality. Any excuse will do for us to cover our ears, and close our eyes as Israel carries out the bloody work of killing an entire population of people for the sake of stealing their land, under the pretense of a blasphemous lie that serves these slaveholders in the same way that the blasphemous lies of the Judeo/Christian charlatans of the past justified the enslavement and subsequent annihilation of Native Americans, and the brutal enslavement of Africans, who were stolen away from their homelands. A crime that was justified for years by abuse of the Bible, whose message was distorted to facilitate the sick desires of a few racial supremacist bigots who think that God destined them to dominate the world, and to subjugate the darker races, and so called heathens.
The world is in a pitiful state of lawlessness and cowardice because false prophets are leading it. It is sickening, and sad. I close with the words of Jesus, who said in the Bible, in the Book of Matthew, Chapter 25, verses 41-46, “When Jesus shall come in his Glory, and all of the Holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of Glory, and before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another, and he shall set the sheep on his right, and the goats to his left…Then shall he the King, say unto those on his left hand, “Depart from me, you accursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his followers; For I was hungry and you gave me no meat, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink. I was a stranger, and you took me not in, naked and you clothed me not, sick and in prison, and you visited me not. Then shall they answer him saying, “Lord, when did we see thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of thee? Then shall he answer them saying, “Verily I say unto you, in as much as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not unto me. And these (the people on the left hand) shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous unto eternal life.”
And from the Qur’an, Chapter 58, verses14-17
“Turn thou not thy attention to those who turn in friendship to such as have the wrath of God upon them. They are neither of you, nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly. God has prepared for them a severe penalty: evil indeed are their deeds. They have made their oaths a screen for their misdeeds, thus they obstruct men from the path of God, and therefore shall they have a humiliating penalty. Of no profit whatsoever to them against God will be their riches and their sons, they will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein forever.”
