Muslim Brotherhood: Badie Gunshot False ‘Report’ Part of Ongoing Hostile Media Campaign

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood denied rumors and ‘reports’ circulated by certain websites, Facebook pages and Twitter messages claiming that the group’s chairman (Dr. Mohamed Badie) was shot outside the Guidance Bureau office building.

Yasser Mehrez, media spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood, said: "It is not true, as stated in a certain news-website, that Dr. Mohamed Badie was targeted with gunfire. Right now, he is attending a regular meeting of the Guidance Bureau".

Separately, Walid Shalaby, media advisor to the Muslim Brotherhood Chairman, also denied the false report, saying: "This is part and parcel of the fabricated news campaign waged against the group since quite some time ago".
