Muslim Brotherhood Congratulates Turkey on Foiling Coup Attempt
The Muslim Brotherhood offers its deepest congratulations to Turkey – the people, the President and the government – on defeating the traitorous military coup attempt.
The group also congratulates Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people who rallied behind his leadership, defended his democratic legitimacy, and acted promptly, assisting patriots among army and police forces in foiling the coup attempt, arresting the perpetrators, and assembling in streets and squares across the country until they were certain the coup attempt was completely crushed.
The Muslim Brotherhood takes this opportunity to express its appreciation for Turkey’s honorable stances in all important issues around the world in support of truth and justice, rejecting military coups, especially the treacherous military coup in Egypt.
We offer our sincere condolences to Turkey, and the families of the martyrs who were killed in that foiled putsch. We pray to God for a speedy recovery for all the wounded.
May God protect Turkey from all traitorous plotters and oppressors.
