Muslim Brotherhood Disassociates Itself from Any Acts of Violence Against Anti-Morsi Protests
In a press statement, the Muslim Brotherhood disassociated itself from any violence or thuggery occurring in Egypt, reaffirming that it is most determined to save the blood of all Egyptians.
The statement said, "We’ve received information that there are heinous plots for violence and aggression against demonstrators in Tahrir Square and outside Itehadia Presidential Palace. These criminal acts are then to be blamed on the Muslim Brotherhood, in order to incite hatred and violence against them and spread sedition throughout the country.
"The Muslim Brotherhood strongly condemns these plots and these intended acts of violence, because the blood of the Egyptians – all Egyptians – is most sacred."
"The Brotherhood seeks to revitalize all Egyptians in an atmosphere of charitable cooperation and piety, and also works for progress and to achieve the higher interests of the country. It further seeks to help establish a climate of healthy democracy, in a civil, modern and enlightened state that resolves disputes and differences with reason, logic and democratic process, away from violence, murder and terror."
