Muslim Brotherhood Mourns Alexandria Train Crash Victims
The Muslim Brotherhood mourned the victims of the Alexandria train crash after Friday prayers in the Khurshid region of Alexandria.
Iman Mahmoud, the group’s media spokesperson, tweeted: "With deep grief and sorrow, we mourn all the victims who died in the Alexandria trains crash today. We ask God to grant them mercy and to inspire their families with patience and solace".
According to the latest figures from Egypt’s Ministry of Health, 37 people were killed in this train accident, and 123 were injured. After the incident, which also killed the train driver who caused the crash, some 75 ambulances transported the wounded to nearby hospitals where they are now receiving treatment.
