Muslim Brotherhood Mourns Death of 96-Year Old Aweys Abdel-Wahab – First Generation MB Member

The Muslim Brotherhood mourns Aweys Abdel-Wahab, one of the members of the first generation of the group, who fought fearlessly against the Israeli enemy in the 1948 war, and against the British occupation in Egypt.
Aweys was arrested several times, and dedicated his life to serving Islam in Dawah (the call to God). He said of his life with the Muslim Brotherhood: "If I was not of the Muslim Brotherhood, I’d have wished to be with them. If I could bring back time, I’d give many times what I did".
The Muslim Brotherhood prays to God to accept and bless Aweys as a martyr and give his family patience and strength and all his loved ones.
