Muslim Brotherhood Mourns MP Farid Ismail Death in Detention

The Muslim Brotherhood offers its deepest condolences to the Egyptian people and all revolutionaries on the passing of the great lawmaker Dr. Farid Ismail, head of the Committee on National Security Council at the legitimate People’s Assembly (Egypt’s elected parliament, dissolved by the junta) and member of the Freedom and Justice Party’s Executive Office, after Aqrab Prison administration refused him necessary medical tests and treatment.

Although coup authorities deprived him of required medicines and tests, he continued his painful struggle against serious illness and did not bend or kneel to the cowardly jailers or the murderous putschists, and remained unwaveringly steadfast until his pure soul departed.

The Muslim Brotherhood and the masses of Egyptian revolutionaries affirm that retribution for Dr. Farid Ismail’s spirit will remain their mission until it is exacted fairly through revolutionary justice from every criminal, murderer, and heinous traitor.
