Muslim Brotherhood Students Acknowledge Roles of Former Group Members

The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students produced a documentary film highlighting the history of the group’s members. The film, which was screened during the MB’s First Student Conference in Cairo Saturday, relayed the MB students’ accomplishments throughout the years, in addition to offering tributes to MB students who died during the revolution.

The film mentioned the appreciated efforts of former MB members Dr. Abdul Monem Abul Fotouh (Presidential Candidate), Essam Sultan (the current vice-president of Al-Wasat Party), and Dr. Ibrahim Zaafarany and their crucial contribution to Egypt’s student movement. The audience welcomed the move by the students who were neutral in their historical account and gave credit to MB members who officially renounced the group lately.

The film also highlighted the student activities of MB Deputy Chairman Eng. Khairat Al-Shater, Dr. Essam el Erian, in addition to showing clips of the group’s former and present Executive Bureau members including Dr. Mohamed Badei, Dr. Rashad Bayoumi, Mahdy Akef, and Mahmoud Ezzat.
