Nasr: Mishaal’s visit to Sana’a was not for mediating between Yemen and Iran

DAMASCUS, — Mohamed Nasr, a member of Hamas political bureau, on Friday categorically denied that the visit of Khaled Mishaal to Sana’a was intended for mediating between Yemen and Iran.

Nasr added that this visit was in the context of Hamas Movement’s keenness on promoting its relations with the Arab and Muslim worlds and explaining the situation in the Palestinian arena.

The Hamas official affirmed that his Movement respects the sovereignty of Arab states and does not interfere in their internal affairs.

He underlined that Hamas cannot be isolated or ignored and it is always in contact with many parties in the world except Israel.

In another context, Hamas lawmaker and official Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya stated Friday that his Movement made strenuous efforts and significant concessions for the success of the national dialog, but Fatah faction negatively responded and displayed intransigent attitudes.

In a political symposium organized in Nusseirat refugee camp, Dr. Hayya stressed that the reconciliation should be achieved on a sound basis and in accordance with a comprehensive national program protecting the resistance and restoring the usurped rights.
