“No to Torture” the latest slogan compiled by citizens

 Defense lawyers today submitted complaints to the Interior Minister, the Attorney General, Interior Ministry’s Inspector, General Inspector of State Security at Aswan and the Attorney General of Aswan’s Prosecutions demanding the immediate investigation of the torture of Ahmed Rajab who was arrested November 12.

 

  A copy of the complaint which was obtained by Ikhwanweb revealed that the victim Ahmed Rajab who was arrested was mercilessly tortured for 4 continuous days while being detained at police headquarters. The victim had been kicked, slapped, insulted and electrocuted on different parts of his body. He was stripped of all clothing and severe burns covered his whole body where he was left naked for a long period. The torture committed against him was by members of the State Security forces in Aswan. The assailants include Mohammed Al Omari, Taha Abu Shali and Captain Ahmad Mahran, Chief of Detectives’ in Aswan’s Police Station.
