Ofer prisoners initiate protest steps against Israeli violations
Prisoners told the lawyer of the Dhamir institution catering for prisoners and human rights that they returned their dinner meals on Tuesday and refrained from going out of their cells for their daily stroll last Friday and Monday.
The lawyer said that the national committee in the jail would set a program for escalatory steps against the authority’s practices such as repeated storming and searching of prison rooms, sanctions for trivial reasons, financial fines, visit deprivation, isolation of detainees, and round-the-clock jamming that endangers safety and health of the prisoners.
The prisoners appealed for backing of their struggle steps to regain their rights and end the arbitrary measures against them.
