On Day 15 of Hunger Strike, Beltagy Exhorts Revolution Partners for Unity to Achieve Goals

Dr. Mohamed Beltagy, leading member of both the Freedom and Justice Party and the Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance, currently detained in a high-security junta jail, to the south of Cairo, said: "Persist, persevere and forgive others’ mistakes. We are together for the Revolution and the lofty goals, against treason, betrayal and injustice, against the cold-blooded murders and the traitorous coup that trampled the January Revolution and popular will".

In a message, to all partners in peaceful struggle against the fascist junta, and on the fifteenth day of his hunger strike, Dr. Beltagy said: "I demand freedom for all prisoners unjustly jailed on orders from the military putschists. Rejection of injustice is an important human and Islamic principle which is universal – not linked to the identity or stances of the oppressed.

"Everybody made mistakes. It is time, now, to return to the right path. Irrespective of the various levels of wrong-doing, we will not hold mistakes against anyone. Instead, we hope everyone will realize and correct their mistakes, correct their stances and come back to the right path."

Dr. Beltagy further said: "We will overcome errors and defeat the coup, together, as we close ranks and unite, all of us who call for justice, truth, freedom, dignity and retribution, and reject oppression, injustice, murder, repression and arbitrary arrests"
