On the eve of the final run-offs

Sohag: Curfews in Brotherhood’s Candidates’ Villages 
 
 
On the eve of the final run-offs, security forces imposed curfews that would last till the end of vote in five villages of the Muslim Brotherhood’s nominees in Sohag governorate. These curfews, started at 4pm, are designed to prevent villagers from casting ballots.
 
Policemen, in addition, confiscated locals’ IDs to hinder their participation in the poll. Moreover, detentions and abductions among the Brothers are continuing. So far, the number of detainees in Sohag amounts to 350. 
 
 
Employees of Post Offices are to Vote in Abu Kbeir
 
Nationwide post offices directed its employees to head tomorrow for Abu Kbeir constituency of el-Sharqia governorate in order to elect Ali Meslihy, the National Democratic Party’s nominee and the chairman of Post Director Board.
 
It is said that 300-400 employees of each province are ordered to travel to the constituency in preparation for tomorrow’s run-off. Learnt sources affirmed that stuffed polling boxes, marked for the favor of the NDP’s nominee, are ready to be replaced with the legal ones while being moved to the count commissions. The sources added that the chairman of Post Director Board’s kinship with the Prime Minister encourages him to commit these irregularities.
 
 
Rumors Surface in Abu Hammad
On the eve of vote, vile rumors about the abolishment of tomorrow’s run-offs in Abu Hammad constituency of el-Sharqia governorate are spreading. The aim of this misleading information is to dissuade voters from going to polls.
