Online poll reveals MB most effective

An online survey regarding the most influential political forces on the Egyptian street, harvested over 85 thousand votes by, visitors to the Masrawy website.
Dr. Diaa Rashwan, political analyst at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, reported that the statistics figure’s indicated that the Muslim Brotherhood was the most powerful and effective political opposition in Egypt.
The Brotherhood topped the poll acquiring 66% of the total votes followed by the NAC with 21%, April 6 movement and Wafd Party.
Rashwan asserted that the Brotherhood’s win of 88 seats in the last parliamentary elections may not be repeated in this year’s upcoming election despite the group’s undeniable popularity. The groups call for integrity during elections will be ignored and rigging will prioritize the regimes list of things to do during the elections.
Rashwan noted, that the political opposition such as April 6 activities were noticed more on the internet as opposed to being effective on the streets.
