Opposition participates in protests against rising prices
Egyptian opposition parties and political movements staged protest marches on Wednesday in Cairo ‘s poorest area the Matareya district demonstrating their anger over escalating bread prices, continued power cuts and shortages of drinking water.
Kefaya representative Abdel Rahman Auf indicated that he hoped to participate in the organization of other marches also. Protesters held the two officials liable warning they would bring lawsuits against Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and Energy Minister Hassan Younis,
Activist Karima al-Hifnawy called on “Nazif’s cabinet to resign over the deplorable and unacceptable carelessness.
