PA ministry urges world community to check IOA crimes against Palestinians
The ministry of prisoners in the PA caretaker government has urged the international community to end its silence regarding Israeli occupation authority”s crimes against the Palestinian people and to adopt a daring stand to check those crimes.
Dr. Atef Odwan, the minister of prisoners and ex-prisoners affairs, described as “unjustified” the world”s “silence”, and charged that it encouraged the IOA to exercise more pressures and repression against the Palestinian people.
He said in a press statement that the IOA decision to cancel residence permits of the Jerusalem MPs of the change and reform bloc and the minister of Jerusalem affairs in the tenth PA government while in jail constituted a fresh evidence of the IOA cruel practices against the detained lawmakers.
The minister described the decision as “racist”, and fell in line with the IOA “rabid” campaign against Jerusalem and its Islamic landmarks. He said that the campaign targets emptying the holy city of its indigenous inhabitants especially the patriotic figures and political leaders who struggle for Jerusalemite rights and who expose IOA practices against the holy shrines especially the Aqsa Mosque.
“The IOA is committing one crime after another and the world is not acting (to bridle it)”, Odwan said, adding that the UN silence towards such crimes is considered “moral complicity”.
