Palestinian shepherd dies in explosion of Israeli land mine

A 22-year-old Palestinian shepherd was killed on Sunday evening in Jordan Valley when he stepped on an Israeli land mine in Al-Malih Valley where the IOF troops usually exercise.

Medical sources in the city of Jericho said that Muhanad Zamel was looking after sheep in the area when he stepped on the mine and died instantly on its explosion.

They said that the blast tore the young man”s body to pieces, and noted that large numbers of IOF troops rushed to the scene and investigated the cause of the explosion.

An IOF ambulance carried Zamel”s remains and would deliver them to the Palestinian liaison office after conclusion of the investigation.
