Palestinians blasted parts of Rafah Crossing to meet their essentials

Tens of thousands of Palestinians poured from the Gaza Strip into Egypt Wednesday morning after Palestinian activists with explosives destroyed part of the wall dividing the border town of Rafah to meet their essentials of food, fuel, provisions that became very rare in the Strip. This happened few hours after a demo organized by Hamas calling for the end of the siege upon the Strip.
Neither the Egyptian border guards nor the Palestinian security forces did any procedures to deny the Gazans’ access to Rafah City. Many Palestinians are said to be back to the Strip with food bags and plastic pots filled with fuel.
After the Gazan being able to meet their requirements of medications and goods, they went back to the Strip while hundreds are still pouring into Rafah.
On the other hand, the US Administration barred the issuance of a statement from the UN Security Council condemning what happens for the Gazans amidst warnings of a complete collapse in the Strip”s infrastructure.
Zalmai Khalilzad, the US ambassador to the UN, described the statement proposed by the Arab Group as “unacceptable”, and said that the proposed statement “doesn”t consider the Palestinian rockets upon Israel the main reason for escalation”.
The Libyan delegate to the council said that the UNSC members will go on their deliberations on Wednesday. However, diplomatic sources said that it”s improbable to issue any statements due to the opposing views of the members and the American insistence on including a paragraph condemning Hamas for the deterioration of the situation due to rocketing Israel from the Strip.
