Parliamentary criticism of attacking Political Activists

Ibrahim Abu Auf, Muslim Brotherhood MP, denounced the continuous violation of the law and Constitution by State Security Services. He slammed the attacks on political activists and members of the Parliament who called for constitutional amendments and the open of doors for democracy and freedom.
The MP submitted an urgent statement to the Prime Minister and Interior Minister reporting the repression of peaceful protestors on April 6, where security assaulted dozens of protestors including women and arrested dozens. Similar measures took place in another protest where Dr. Mohamed Elbeltagy, Assistant Secretary General of the MB Parliamentary bloc, and MP Hamdeen Sabbahy where insulted by security forces during their assembly in front of the Attorney General’s office on April 13
Abu Auf demanded the prosecution of the perpetrators and warned of the disregard to the restrictions on the security forces actions.
