Picketers in Holland denounce visit of Lieberman, ask for his arrest

THE HAGUE — Tens of Palestinian supporters picketed the Dutch parliament on Wednesday to protest the visit of Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman to the Netherlands, describing him as a “war criminal”.

The Palestinian forum for rights and solidarity in Holland organized the picket in cooperation with other societies supporting the Palestine cause during which anti-Lieberman slogans were voiced along with demands for his arrest for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people.

The protesters hoisted Palestinian flags and photos of victims of the latest Israeli war on the Gaza Strip especially the infants along with placards demanding Lieberman’s arrest for being a “child killer”, and for boycotting Israel.

The institutions that organized the picket delivered a message to the Dutch parliament announcing their refusal of receiving the Israeli foreign minister in Holland for having Palestinian children’s blood on his hand. They also pointed out that Lieberman was a member in the terrorist organization, the  Haganah.

They said that Lieberman was living in an Israeli settlement in the West Bank in violation of international law and human rights, and that he encouraged the war on Gaza.

The institutions asked the international court of justice, which is based in The Hague, to prosecute Lieberman especially when the UN human rights report on the war on Gaza accused Israel with committing wars against humanity and war crimes during that aggression.
