Polls in el-Arish

Polls in el-Arish

In el-Arish constituency of Northern Sinai, officers hindered
face-covered
voters giving their votes, though high rate of women in Sinai are
face-covered.

In spite of high turnout, voters were prevented from casting ballots.
Besides, thugs allied to the National Democratic Party attacked two
monitors of the NGOs. Later on, the supervisory judge, however,
ordered
policemen to give way to electorate and to stop thugs.

Nevertheless, security forces blocked the polling centers of Abu Saql
School. Potential clashes surfaced since policemen persist to see
faces of
face-coved women; an action that is denied by all residents.
