POMED Notes: “Dr. Rafe al-Eissawi, Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq” at the USIP

The United States Institute of Peace hosted a talk today featuring Iraq’s deputy prime minister responsible for services and development, Rafe al-Eissawi. The director of USIP’s Iraq program, Rusty Barber moderated. During the event, al-Eissawi commented on, among other things, Iraq’s limited success supporting women’s issues and the challenges the country will face during and after the withdrawal of U.S. Forces.
