PRC commander, wife killed in IOF aerial strike on Gaza

An Israeli reconnaissance plane has killed on Thursday a commander of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) and his wife in Biet Lahia city, north of Gaza Strip, raising number of Palestinians killed by the IOF to 26 within 48 hours, Palestinian local sources confirmed.


Medical sources in the city”s Kamal Odwan hospital identified the two victims as Raed Shahda Abu Al-Foul, 43, and his wife Amena Abu Al-Foul, adding that it was difficult to identify the two victims because of their bodies were mutilated.


PIC correspondent in the city confirmed that one of the Israeli reconnaissance planes that were intensively hovering over the area unleashed an air-to-surface rocket at the couple”s car while driving along the city”s main street.


In a statement it issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, the PRC vowed to avenge the killing of Al-Foul, affirming, “The retaliation will be equal to the crime”.


“IOF troops will never enjoy peace if they remain in Gaza”, the PRC statement added.


Abu Abeer, the spokesman of the PRC, affirmed that the Abu Al-Foul was a member of the missile manufacturing unit in the group, declaring that the Palestinian resistance entered into an open-war with the IOF troops.


He also asserted that the Israeli assassination of Palestinian resistance fighters and commanders will not bend the Palestinian people from continuing their quest for liberation and independence.
 
Three Palestinian citizens of one family, including a child, were also killed in similar attack Wednesday.


On Tuesday, Israeli tanks and Apache copters killed 19 Palestinian citizens and wounded more than 50 others in an incursion into the Zaitun suburb, east of Gaza City. At least 12 of the victims were fighters of Hamas Movement.


Resistance active in W.Bank:
In al-Khalil city, a joint group from the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, and the Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, targeted on Wednesday a group of Israeli soldiers and settlers at the Keryat Arba colony that was built on confiscated Palestinian lands in the heart of the city.


According to a joint statements issued by the two armed wings and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, the attack inflicted a number of causalities among the Israelis, affirming that Israeli ambulances were seen rushing to the place.
