Bulldozers of the Israeli-controlled municipality of occupied Jerusalem on Monday demolished two flats in a Palestinian building in Sha"fat suburb in the holy city.
Israeli occupation police and border guards sealed off the suburb and kept Palestinian citizens away from the building.
The security elements forced the eight families inhabiting the six-story building to evacuate it while the municipality bulldozers knocked down the fifth and sixth floors.
Meanwhile, Hebrew daily Ha"aretz reported on Tuesday that a Jewish society was planning to build 200 new housing units in Sheikh Jarah suburb in occupied Jerusalem.
The paper said that the society planned the demolition of tens of Palestinian homes in the suburb in order to pave the way for constructing those units.
In another development, IOF troops kidnapped two Palestinians in Kufr Kalil village east of Nablus city at dawn Tuesday. Locals said that one of the two was a 16-year-old boy.
