Fatah faction and the Israeli occupation government have apparently united against the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera satellite TV as both parties started a campaign to boycott the Arab satellite TV channel for unveiling the truth about the Israeli massacres in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Jazeera is considered the most popular satellite TV channel in the Arab world as millions of viewers express satisfaction over the balanced stand of the channel in reporting the news, especially the news about the Palestinian issue and the events in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Fatah lady MP Najat Abu Bakr asserted that she started a campaign to boycott Al-Jazeera, charging that the channel was fueling the inter-Palestinian disputes.
Abu Bakr was apparently irked by the news reports unveiled by an American newspaper on the role of Fatah faction and its strong man Mohammed Dahalan in an Israeli-US scheme to oust Hamas Movement from power after winning the PA legislative elections, which Al-Jazeera published as many other Arab and foreign satellite TV channels did.
Dahalan and his war generals were defeated and routed in the Gaza Strip at the hands of Hamas"s fighters last June after they attempted to carry out a military coup against the legitimate PA government of Hamas Movement.
Furthermore, Abu Bakr alleged that the Arab TV channel was deliberately displaying the Palestinian women wailing while in fact, she added, the Palestinian women should be presented in a better picture.
Political observers asserted that Al-Jazzera played a strong role in faithfully disclosing the truth on what is happening in Gaza and on the suffering of the 1.5 million Palestinian individuals living there.
In the same context, Tzipi Levni, the Israeli foreign minister, lashed out at the channel, accusing it of being "unfair" in covering the events on the Strip.
She also ordered the spokesmen of her ministry not to entertain any invitation form the channel for comments or interviews.
"Al-Jazeera is violating the matters on the ground by fabricating lies… I don’t deny that Palestinian civilians were killed [in the IOF aggression] but when it comes to Al-Jazeera everything is exaggerated", Levni added.
