In the context of the Israeli crimes against Palestinians especially farmers, the IOF troops killed at noon Saturday a Palestinian farmer while working in his land and wounded another east of the Jabalia town, northern Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian medical sources, the IOF troops shot dead farmer Ra"fat Mansour, 33, and seriously injured another farmer called Mohamed Mansour, 20.
An Israeli special force infiltrated in the morning into east of Jabaliya near the martyrs graveyard, where it was met with fierce resistance by Palestinian fighters.
According to official statistics, the month of March is considered the most bloody in 16 months where the IOF troops killed 121 Palestinians, 112 of them in Gaza alone.
In a serious development, the IOF command announced its readiness to wage a large-scale military operation against the Gaza Strip with the aim of eliminating Hamas and its leaders.
Israeli chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi said, "The army is ready to carry out a large-scale military operation in Gaza if the competent political authorities decided so."
For his part, Ahmed Jibril, the secretary-general of the popular front for the liberation of Palestine-general command, revealed that the Israeli occupation intends to carry out its military operation in coordination with PA chief Mahmoud Abbas.
"We have information leaked from many western sources that during the coming weeks, Israel will invade the Gaza Strip in order to assassinate senior political and military Hamas leaders and in the course of this invasion, Abbas will be allowed to denounce the aggression as agreed with Israel," Jibril stated.
