GAZA --  Hamas Movement said on Thursday that the Arab leaders have until now not used any of the strong cards they possess against the Israeli occupation, adding that they should go beyond the stage of promises and wishes.

In an interview with the PIC, Barhoum urged the Arab leaders to take more courageous and stronger stand against the Israeli occupation, saying that they should start taking practical steps and use the pressure cards they have, including severing all forms of ties with the Israeli occupation, and to expel Israeli ambassadors from the Arab capitals, and to boycott Israeli goods among other strong cards.

He also added that Jerusalem needs collective Arab efforts to preserve its Arab and Muslim identity and to keep it the undivided capital of Palestine.

Barhoum was apparently reacting to the statement of Saeb Erikat, the PLO chief negotiator, that the Arab league would recommend going to the UNSC to persuade it issue a decision recognizing the independent Palestinian state on the borders of the 4th of June 1967 with east Jerusalem as its capital.
