GAZA, -- Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, the spokesman for Hamas’s parliamentary bloc, described the declared intention of the Palestinian Authority (PA) to call for a national meeting to form a unified position on how to support occupied Jerusalem as an attempt to spruce up its image.
Dr. Bardawil denied that Hamas received an invitation from the Fatah-controlled Palestine liberation organization (PLO) to attend this meeting, stressing that the spokesmen of the PLO and the PA are demanded instead to declare clearly their rejection of the indirect and direct negotiations with the Israeli occupation.
The Hamas lawmaker also stated that the remarks made by senior Fatah and PLO official Yasser Abedrabbo in this regard are only for media consumption.
“We only ask that Abedrabbo and his likes to get out of this conspiracy. Our conviction is that the enemy could not have committed these crimes without Abedrabbo and his likes,” the lawmaker emphasized.
