Anti-Coup Alliance Statement Condemns Security Forces Attack on Friday August 2 Protesters

 The Anti-Coup, Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance extends its sincerest thanks and appreciation to the deeply patriotic Egyptian people for continuing to come out in tens of millions into all the public squares and streets of all provinces throughout Egypt, in defense of constitutional legitimacy, in rejection of the bloody military coup, and in defiance of the state terror, threats and killings perpetrated by the coup commanders and collaborators, in Friday’s Egypt Against the Coup" million-man march, which was launched from many starting points in all parts of Egypt as well as many countries around the world.

Today’s message is important to all the conspirators and traitors who profaned everything Egyptians hold sacred, callously spilled the blood of civilians, and handed Egypt, its revolution and security to its enemies.

While today’s huge million-man marches affirm that the Egyptian people are determined to complete their January 25 Revolution and achieve all its objectives, the Alliance condemns unwarranted brutal attacks by the Ministry of Interior’s security forces with gas bombs and various weapons including pellet shotguns against peaceful unarmed civilian demonstrators outside Cairo’s Media Production City.

The Alliance assures that the discourse of savagery, murder and violence used by coup forces will not deter us or make us stop our peaceful revolution until we realize the hopes and aspirations of the great people of Egypt.

Thus, the coup commanders’ crisis is not with a particular faction, but with all the people of Egypt.

Stressing its commitment to peacefulness in all its activities and rallies, that it will not be drawn to violence, and that it will meet the coup forces’ bullets with bare chests, the Alliance confirms that attempts by enemies of Egypt (the coup masterminds, commanders, security forces and intelligence service) will not succeed in tarnishing the image of the peaceful Egyptian Revolution or dragging the country into chaos and destruction.

The Alliance places full responsibility for the thousands of Egyptians killed and injured squarely on the coup commanders, collaborators as well as journalists and so-called media professionals who fervently and vindictively incite murder of peaceful protesters.

Sharing this criminal responsibility are also the owners of TV channels, broadcasters, and others who incite, finance, aid and abet the killing of unarmed civilians.

The Alliance also affirms that the U.S. administration and the European Union share this responsibility for their support of the bloody coup.

To the great Egyptian masses in all parts of the world:

The National Alliance urges you to continue peaceful demonstrations and marches in all areas of Cairo, provincial capitals and all free cities around the world, and further urges protesters to persist in their sit-ins and to continue the Revolution until all their desired goals are achieved.

The Alliance also calls for a million-man march on the ‘Night of Majesty’ (27th night of Ramadan – the Muslim month of fasting), under the banner ‘Pray Against the Oppressors’, on Sunday (August 4) in Rabaa Al-Adaweya Square and Nahda Square, as well as all public squares of Egypt and the whole free world.

"The Lord said ‘Pray unto Me, and I will answer your prayer’…" (Quran 40:60)

{There is absolutely no barrier that can stop the prayer of the oppressed from reaching God, who receives it in the Heavens and says: 'I swear by My Honor and Glory to help you’…}

God save Egypt, its people and its army from the wicked deeds of some of its leaders.
God Bless Egypt…
