Pro-Democracy National Alliance Denounces Sinai Massacre

Pro-Democracy National Alliance Denounces Sinai Massacre

The military junta’s crimes and fatal failures continue everywhere across Egypt. Omar Abdel-Wahab Al-Sharif, the student movement’s first martyr this academic year, is joined in the caravan of martyrs by a 9-year old child in a Matareya anti-coup protest. Meanwhile, cowardly coup militia attacks continue against Egyptian revolutionaries, as the abject failure of the coup, the military junta, and its endeavors to adopt Camp David policies lead to clear lapses of security in the Sinai.

Yesterday (Friday), more army recruits were killed in a new massacre added to the black record of the military junta that has thrown the army into the political arena and put the Sinai under siege, isolation and schemes of displacement. This convinced everyone that toppling the military coup regime and the return of the army to its important duty of defending this homeland are imperative. They cannot be delayed.

The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance offers sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs and victims of the treacherous coup, and hails the millions of Egyptians who turned out in protest rallies on Friday in all parts of the country with the start of a new revolutionary Hijri (Islamic) year, paving the way for final victory, and declaring it firmly: "The people want to topple the regime".

The Alliance assures that retribution is coming after fulfillment of demands of the martyrs, and that coup crimes do not have no statute of limitations. The heinous murderers cannot dream of stability after they killed children in the streets, abducted women from their homes and gave up the Sinai to the enemy.

The junta, with all its elements and components, has become a great burden on the homeland, which has no alternative but to oust the repressive military junta and corrupt cronies. The only way to achieve that is through a broadbased popular movement able to meet the demands, achieve the aspirations, punish the murderers and traitors – the heinous henchmen of the Zionist-American coalition, and topple the Camp David junta – the regime of oppression and enslavement.

Let us persist on our revolutionary path, peacefully, but strongly, and continue our rallies and demonstrations in the "Topple the Regime" week of protests. Let us support the student movement, with full determination, break the siege on universities, and side with the truth everywhere. Let us raise the banner of the Revolution and popular rage at every site. And be prepared for what is coming.

Let us brace for November 18

The people want to topple the regime
