Project “Basmat Al Eid” For Al Doweeqa Victims at Arab Doctors Union
On Monday September 29, the Emergency Relief Commission at the Arab Doctors Union organized day of festivities called it ” Basmat Al Eid ” or “The smile of the Feast” for the victims of Al Doweeqa at the headquarters of the Union in “Dar Al Hekmaa” in Cairo.
Dr. Jamal Abdul Salam, director of the Commission, said: “ “Basmat Al Eid ” is project which the Commission used to do it every year for Palestinians, but the Commission decided this year to bring smiles to the victims of Al Doweeqa in Egypt after the tragic disaster which killed nearly 105 residents early of this month
The Commission, immediately provided many tents for temporary accommodation and large amounts of water and food, in addition to the reconnaissance on the needs of people of the area; by members of the relief delegation to provide those aids urgently.
A delegation from the Commission, headed by the Secretary-General of the Union, Dr. Abdul Moneim Abul Fotouh, visited the injured people of the disaster in hospitals, and provided aids for them and for the families of the martyrs.
The Commission has also sent medical delegations to provide large amounts of relief materials to the area, giving them to homeless people, and prepare a program of psychological rehabilitation for the families of the victims by consultants and specialized professors in the Egyptian universities; with the help of trained volunteers from the area and beyond.
