Punishing Muslim Brotherhood Students for “May 4” Strike

Dean of the faculty of Law, Zagazig University, has referred a large number of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) students into disciplinary boards which decided to punish them for their endorsement of May 4 strike.

The dean took advantage of the students’ absence on Sunday (May 4), the day of the second general strike in Egypt, threatening students that they would be expelled from all Egyptian universities.

Disciplinary boards decided to implement urgent punishments on MB students, preventing a large number of them from attending exams this semester, in addition to expelling one student from university for a whole academic term.

Zagazig University witnessed more than 310 investigations with MB students, nearly 23 disciplinary boards this year for MB students, in addition to expelling 30 from the university for different time periods ranging from one week to one complete semester.
