Qaradawi: The war on Gaddafi is not a crusade
Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi, head of the International Union for Muslim Scholars: criticised Gaddafi’s description of the airstrike as a Crusade.
According to Qaradawi the Libyans and the Arab League were forced to resort to the United Nations following Gaddafi’s massacre on the people who challenged his leadership.
He explained that the airstrike against Gaddafi was not a crusade, since Gaddafi did not represent what Islam advocates and failed to protect his people nor was he a model example of what a leader should be.
