Qaradawi calls on Muslims all over the world to unite against deplorable IOF attacks on al-Aqsa mosque.

Dr Yusuf al-Qaradawi chairman of the World’s Muslim Scholars Union has called on Muslims all over the world to unite in an uprising and rally in protest against the appalling and unpardonable aggression on the Holy al-Aqsa mosque. The attacks on the sacredness of the mosque by the Israeli Occupation are unacceptable and must be met with resistance.
In a televised phone call to al-Jazeera Qaradawi emphasized that “The protection of al-Aqsa is not an option but the duty which falls on the head of a third of a billion Arabs in particular and one and a half billion Muslims in general”. He continued “Time has come to forcefully demonstrate the world’s Muslims distaste on the deplorable attacks on one of the most holy places in the world. It is simply unacceptable and serious measures must be taken so that the continued attacks by the IOF are stopped”.
He appealed to Moroccan King Mohamed chairman of al-Aqsa committee in the Muslim League to immediately convene a conference to discuss necessary steps needed to prevent the Israeli aggression which has become intolerable. Qaradawi asserted that “Steps must be taken to restore al-Aqsa’s glory and sanctity to its rightful status where it belongs among the holy ranks of al-Harramein and al-Nabawi Mosque”.
Qaradawi addressed all Muslim and Arab leaders reminding them of the responsibility towards al-Aqsa claiming that “The continued and habitual Israeli attacks on al-Aqsa must be met with resistance and force since it is the duty of one and all to protect it and this includes not just the mosque but the 144 thousand square metres of the premises which includes both the structure and courtyard”.
