Quds center: IOA violations against Jerusalemites soared in March
The research and documentary department in the Quds center for social and economic rights said in a report on Saturday that the Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem had soared in the past month of March.
It said assaults on Jerusalemites on racist background was increasing and the Israeli occupation policemen used excessive force in quelling civil protest rallies while giving a blind eye to the Jewish fanatics’ violent and unruly acts.
The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) confiscated more Palestinian land and called for tenders to build tens of thousands of new settlement units on confiscated Palestinian land, the report pointed out, adding that the IOA restrictions on entry of worshipers into the Aqsa Mosque and the Old City led to violent confrontations in the holy city.
Such restrictions violated the freedom of movement of thousands of Muslim and Christian believers who tried in vain to reach their holy shrines to offer prayers, which constituted a serious infringement on their freedom of worship, the center concluded.
