In a related context, the Amnesty International voiced, in a press statement issued yesterday, its deep concern over the deteriorating health of Engineer Khairat Al-Shater, the second deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Engineer Khairat Al-Shater has developed, days ago, a tumor and wounds in his right toes, symptoms of a diabetic foot. Ingnoring such symptoms may lead to amputating the injured organs, according to doctors. Al Shater refuses to be hospitalized in the prison hospital which lacks any human treatment, while he is denied the right to be treated in a well-equipped medical centre .
