Re-arrest of Four Students from Fayoum After Being Released

The Ministry of Interior has issued a decision to arrest the four students from Fayoum who were arrested on grounds of the recent incidents in Fayoum University. The Ministry of Interior refused to implement the Prosecution”s decision, issued on Sunday 3rd of May 2009, to release them and transferred them to Wady Al-Natron prison.

 

The Fayoum Public Prosecution issued a decision on Sunday to release each of Khaled Ahmed Mohamed, Ahmed Mohamed Soufi, Ibrahim Mohamed Ali and Ahmed Ramadan who study at Fayoum University and renewed the detention of another eight for 15 days in very bad conditions and inhuman treatment in Demo  prison on grounds of security assaults against the students of the university, however the security agencies did not release the students and kept them in detention until the arrest warrant for them was issued and they were transferred to Wady Al-Natron prison in the next morning. Meanwhile students are getting ready for their second term exams the thing which poses a threat to their educational future.

 

More than 150 thugs stormed into the gate of the Faculty of Education on Wednesday 8th of April 2009, under the nose of University Guards and State Security officers and it also arresting four students after they submitted a complaint against thugs and arrested three others during their medical treatments in Fayoum Hospital.
