Rights Organization: In September Alone, 41 Egyptians Killed Outside the Law

 El-Nadeem Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence and Torture issued a new rights report Sunday, entitled "September 2017 Bitter Harvest", in which it detailed 41 extrajudicial killings in Egypt in September alone.




The report monitored 27 cases of physical direct and deliberate extrajudicial killings, eight people killed in security crackdowns, three killed by artillery shelling.



The report said eight people were killed in places of detention, seven of whom due to medical neglect.



Moreover, there were 79 reported cases of torture or extreme assault and beatings, of those 57 were of people tortured individually, 22 cases of mass torture and 29 of medical neglect in places of detention. Furthermore, there were 148 reports and complaints of enforced disappearance, and 35 reports of violence by the state against citizens.
