Rights Report on Coup Forces Violations in Peaceful Protests Monday So Far
Egyptian Coordinating Committee of Rights and Freedom (ECRF) reported that with the ongoing Interior Ministry crackdown on dissent, targeting even politicians, human rights activists and media professionals, violations that could be documented so far (until Monday, 1:00PM) were: 3 civilians killed, a large number of people wounded (exact numbers not confirmed as yet), 37 civilians arrested, including at least 10 girls and women, in seven provinces across Egypt.

Arrests and detentions: Cairo 14 citizens, Minya 7, Qaliubiya 6, Dakahlia 4, Sharqeya 4, and one each in Kafr El-Sheikh and Beheira.

ECRF affirmed that since the beginning of January 2016, coup security forces rounded up and detained at least 872 citizens, including 81 who are still subjected to enforced disappearance. All those who have been arrested and detained face charges of demonstrating against the regime, joining an outlawed group and preparing for the January 25 (2011) Revolution anniversary.

Three civilians have been killed in the governorate of Giza, amid conflicting accounts and testimony, with one version from security forces and another from eyewitnesses.

Many protesters have been wounded. Numbers are yet to be verified and confirmed.
