Salafi’s father fears son dead

Hassan Metwally, father of 29-year-old Salafi detainee accused the security officials of masterminding the kidnapping of his son Ahmed who has been missing since the suicide bombing of the Qeddesinne Church on New Year’s Eve. He added that to date there has been no news of the whereabouts of his missing son.
Head of Dahaya, Human rights centre Haytham Abu Khalil, maintained that Ahmed Hassan’s father contacted him calling for help to obtain any information about the whereabouts of his son who has been arrested since early January. Abu Khalil pointed out that the young man’s father fears his son may have died due to torture, similar to victim Sayed Bilal, adding he searched everywhere.
