Salah: Jerusalem is an Islamic, Arab city that will be restored to its owners
Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, said that the occupation cannot steal the joy of the Muslims on Eid day especially in occupied Jerusalem.
Sheikh Salah said, during the Eid sermon after Eid prayer which was conducted near the Al-Ghawi family tent in the Sheikh Jarrah suburb which has seen an intensified campaign of Judization this year: “We will not find more precious than this land, its earth or its treasures, nor could we find a more noble identity and we tell the occupation that they cannot weaken our resolve, we are staying here..”
He added that in each house in Sheikh Jarrah, in Eisaweyyeh, in Silwan, Ras al-Amoud, Wad al-Jouz and all over Jerusalem, there is special joy on the occasion of Eid, and that is something the occupation can never steal from us.
He said that Palestinians in Jerusalem and all over Palestine will defend their roots despite the hurdles put by the occupation we remain faithful to Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
He stressed that Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians despite the occupation’s plans and constant efforts to Judaize it, its identity will remain Islamic and Arab and will be restored to its rightful owners and not to occupation.
Meanwhile, thousands of worshipers flocked to the Aqsa Mosque from Jerusalem and 1948-occupied Palestinian areas to perform the Eid prayers at the Mosque.
