Sheikh Salah warns of Israeli plan to build Talmudic parks around Aqsa Mosque

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM– Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, the head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands, warned Friday of an Israeli plan to establish mythical Talmudic parks around the Aqsa Mosque.

During his visit to Al-Bustan tent in Silwan area, Sheikh Salah explained that this scheme falls under the rubric of the sacred basin and is aimed at building Jewish parks extending from Silwan, south of the Aqsa Mosque.

He called on the Palestinian citizens in Silwan to organize popular events in order to tell the world that Silwan, the Aqsa Mosque and the occupied city of Jerusalem belong to their indigenous people and not to the Israeli occupation.

For his part, Qusay Naser, a specialist in Jerusalem affairs, revealed that the district committee for planning and building of the Israeli-controlled municipal council in Jerusalem prepared a new plan to build a big Talmudic center run by Jewish extremists in the northern side of Al-Buraq plaza adjacent to the Aqsa Mosque.

Naser said that he obtained documents of this plan, warning that this center would hide the Dome of Rock from view.

He added that the center would be built on an area of 1,750 square meters consisting of four floors.

In another related context, Al-Maqdesi society developing establishment said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) still collect large sums of money from Palestinian citizens in Jerusalem through issuing demolition orders and imposing fines on them at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

The establishment reported that Israel issued 4,807 demolition orders against Palestinian homes from 2004 to 2009, noting that 24,145 homes were demolished from 1967 to 2008.

It added that the total amount of fines collected at the pretext of illegal construction from Jerusalemite citizens from 2004 to 2008 was about $47,000,000.
