SPEC’s Failure to Investigate Shafiq’s Corruption Remains Puzzling

A lot of Egyptians question the eligibility and the efficiency of the former regime’s candidate considering the many judicial and legal problems still pending regarding potential past crimes.

One of these legal problems is well-known to all, and many people from Egypt’s civil aviation sector joined protests and demonstrations, Monday, about it. That is the failure of the Supreme Presidential Elections Committee (SPEC) to investigate any of the many complaints and lawsuits against General Ahmed Shafiq regarding financial and administrative corruption during his administration of that sector.

The people are further baffled at SPEC’s failure to take any action to address the many violations of the former regime’s candidate and his media propaganda machine.
