MB students of Behera universities, in a statement which Ikhwanweb had a copy of, have warned of the repeated attacks by the security against students.

The following came in the statement ” anyone who might have the interest of aggrieving or harming anyone, thinking that he is under the protection of anyone or with the excuse of receiving high commands or that he is only doing what he is told to do, should know that he would be left alone once the time for review comes, he would lose his dignity and judiciary would take place”.

The issuance of this statement comes simultaneous with the first sessions of the trial of Ahmad Issa Taha the policeman at the guards of the university, which was postponed by Damanhour Criminal Court until 17th of March next month at the request of the lawyer of the defendant for the questioning of the witness.

The Prosecution of Damanhour has transferred the defendant to the Criminal Court on charges of cruelty and causing a permanent disablement to Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, student at the Faculty of Commerce and one of MB students. He was attacked by the policeman on 21st of March 2007, and the attack caused an explosion in the right eye leading to 15% of sight deficit.
