Suhaj University Dismisses 43 Students over Palestinian Demonstration

Dr. Mostafa Kamal, the chairman of Suhaj University, south of Cairo, issued a decision of dismissing 43 students on suspicions of participating in a demonstration staged by the students last December in solidarity with the Palestinian people during Beit Hanoun incidents.

The dismissed students include 12 from the Faculty of Commerce, 12 students from the Faculty of Education, 9 students from the Faculty of Arts, 5 from the Faculty of Medicine and 5 in the Faculty of Science.

After issuing the dismissal decision, Suhaj university turned to a military barracks, as security forces are besieging it from all gates. A list of 43 dismissed students was displayed on bulletin boards to prevent them from entering the university. This led to taking strict measures when other students are entering the university through verifying the identity of every student.
