Sweeps of Arrests in Monufeya

Monufeya governorate witnessed large-scale arrests of MB members today(March 4) on the first day of fielding candidates in the municipal elections due on April 8.
 
Egyptian State Security forces broke into 8 MB houses in Shebin Elkoum centre in Monufiya. However, MB members were not in their houses during the raids and only 2 of them were arrested.
1. Moneer Zanaty.
2. Ali Sweilam.
 
Security forces broke into other 12 houses in Berket Al-Sab’ centre in Monufiya, and arrested 6 MB affiliates.
The names of detained MBs are:
 
1. Fawzy Amin Shihab Al-Din.
2. Mohamed Mahdi Ateya.
3. Mokhtar Mohamed Heidar.
4. Yahia Abdul-Azim.
5. Auman Mohamed Al-Barqi.
6. Gamal Amin Sweilam.
 
Other three MB affiliates were arrested in Al-Bagour, Monufiya:
 
1. Ayman Anas Fadl.
2. Magdi Abdullatif Mazid.
3. Dr. Kamel Mohamed Ragab.
 
Security forces arrested 4 MB affiliates from Menouf and Quesna centres in Monufiya. Names of the detainees are:
 
1. Mohamed Fahmi Al-Qadeem.
2. Mahmoud Hendi.
3. Yasser Al-Nabawi Abdel-Razeq.
4. Yasser Salah.
 
It is noteworthy that the detentions all around Egyptian governorates are continuing till the time of writing this news.
