In his statements to Ikhwanweb, head of Syria“s Muslim Brotherhood Ali Sadr-al-Din al-Bayanouni has stressed that the Syrian regime and others lacking the popular legitimacy may face the same scenario of Musharraf”s collapse.
He added that the Syrian regime derives support from outside rather than from its own people.
“The Syrian regime faces popular isolation since it came to office through military coup and power inheritance and still depends on suppression, arrests, and denying the rights of the people,” he added.
Bayanouni said that the Syrian regime negotiates with Israel to become internationally accepted. He refuted that Syria still lurks in “Opposition Axis” and said the status quo in the Golan Heights would have been different under opposition trend.
He said that the regime has no clear project to liberate Golan Heights since “opposition and resistance” should be real preparation of the Syrian people for resistance rather than mere mottoes. “The Syrian regime lauds the Lebanese resistance while letting Golan very calm. Such void slogans will never fool the Syrians,” he told Ikhwanweb.
Bayanouni said that the Syrian regime wants to break the international isolation via Israel to respond to the international demands. He also emphasized that the internal opposition trends are the real extension of the external ones suffering from difficult conditions for not being capable of coming back due to pending death and life imprisonment rulings passed against them.
