Syria condemns Israeli attempt to evacuate the West Bank of its inhabitants

DAMASCUS, Syria denounced the Israeli occupation authority’s (IOA) military order number 1650 that stipulated the expulsion of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank for being “illegal residents”.

A responsible source in the Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement published by the local media on Wednesday that the decision aimed to empty the land of its indigenous people.

He added that the decision is an endorsement of the IOA ethnic cleansing policy and a step toward mass exodus in violation of the international law and human rights.

The source called for urgent Arab and international action to condemn the decision and stop its implementation.
